2012 Regional Events

Tuesday 14th. Feb.  AGM at the Lilacs

Monday 27th. February  Factory visit to I.M.Kelly, Orion Way, Kettering. NN15 6NL. Interior upholsterers and trim for luxury cars.  Tour will take about 2 hours, starting at 10am. Finishing in time for lunch if you wish to join us.  Contact Hilary as soon as possible.

Tuesday 13th Mar.  This will be another winter evening talk at Isham Village Hall; this time we have the pleasure of Graham Searle from the National Club.   Graham is a mine of information on the ‘Jaguar Mark’ and all the J E C activities. Graham’s talk is scheduled to start at 8pm (sharp) we realise for some this is a little early but we have to consider that our guest does have a considerable distance to travel at the end of the evening.

There will as usual be no admission charge made for the evening, and free           refreshments will be provided. We ask that you use The Lilacs car park as on street parking near to Isham Village Hall is very restricted.

A raffle will be held during the evening, this is for one very special prize that has kindly been donated by a member Peter Stubbins. This I assure you, is a prize     everyone would find enjoyable and very worthwhile to win. Details will be available on the night.

Please make every effort to attend this event as it is most disappointing for a speaker to have to address a sparsely populated hall.  We also need you to consume the   refreshments that the ladies have kindly prepared for you to enjoy.

Friday May 11th. To Monday May 14th. Spring break weekend returning to Whitton Farm Cottages in Shropshire. I was asked to arrange this weekend again because everyone who joined us last time has such a good time.  £99 per head. (subject to minimum of 12 people) Bed and Breakfast provided in each cottage and Friday dinner included with drinks. Get in touch with me for further details or to book your place…..Hilary

Saturday 2nd. June  We will be joining one of our fellow members to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee at Mears Ashby.  Pete, landlord of the Griffin’s Head and the village are putting on a celebration in the field opposite the pub from 1pm to 11pm.  Music, hopefully from the group “Ackrington Stanely” and a BBQ.  Please join us for a fun day out.

Thursday 21st. June.   Visit to Jaguar at Castle Bromwich with tour of site.  Book your place with Hilary as soon as possible.

Friday 2nd. Nov to Monday 5th. November.  Winter weekend at The Imperial Hotel, Tenby Wells.  £129 per person.  More details later.
