Christmas 2009.

Christmas Dinner, Saturday 5th. December

For members who have contacted and paid Diane the meals have been ordered. Please arrive at The Tolemache Arms at Harrington by 7.30 so we can be seated by 8pm.  As usual, please pay for your drinks when you order them.  Please remember to take a wrapped raffle prize with you.

Christmas Fayre Menu

Starter

A party platter for sharing

Mango and brie parcels, tempura battered vegetables, deep-fried breaded mushrooms,

vegetable samosas, olive and tomato rustic breads, with a selection f dips.

Mains

Duet of Turkey & Duck

Slices of succulent turkey and duck breast, chipolata sausage, sage and cranberry stuffing,

served with seasonal  vegetables and potatoes

Medallions of Pork

Pan served pork medallions, layered with apple and honey

served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes

Roasted Salmon

Fillet of salmon, brushed with horseradish sauce,

served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes

Game Hotpot

An assortment of fine game and seasonal vegetables,

gently braised in red wine gravy, topped with sliced potatoe

Butternut Squash Risotto (V)

A creamy Aborio rissotto, with red onion, peppers and butternut squash, finished with cheddar.

Wild Mushroom En Croute (V)

A medley of wild mushroo,s in a creamy Stilton sauce, wrapped in a filo pastry shell,

served with seasonal vegetables and potatoes

The final Club Night of the year at The Lilacs, maybe our next charity donation will be made at this evenings meeting.
